My name is Shalonda " Shay" Johnson. In 2002, I started at a doctor's office in College Station, Texas, as a CNA (Certified Nurses Assistant/MA-Medical Assistant) where I learned phlebotomy as part of my job duties, which I started to love that part of my job the most.  I have 21 years in the medical field and 18 years of those years in phlebotomy. I then went on to gain my CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) license with the NPA (National Phlebotomy Association) as well as my CPI (Certified Phlebotomy Instructor) license. I also hold an Associates Degree in Healthcare Management (2016) as well as a Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Management (2017).  I am also in partnership with NHA (National Healthcareer Association-Nationally Recognized in all 50 States) as well as a Proctor with NHA, meaning when the student is complete with the course, I am able to give the state exam after completion of my course. With my extensive knowledge in phlebotomy and healthcare, I wanted to share my knowledge with you as well as teach you the ins and outs of phlebotomy to help you become successful in the field.
